-
Community hospitals serve local communities without Haitian government funding, providing acute care to the public.
-
Haiti’s healthcare system is in disarray due to extreme violence, severe underfunding, and an unstable political climate. Nearly 70% of the health facilities in the capital, Port-au-Prince, have shut down entirely by 2025. This has deprived 4.4 million people access to healthcare, according to the World Health Organization.
Due to the limited availability of resources at most hospitals, preventive and primary care are not prioritized. This means most people are at risk for developing conditions that were entirely preventable.
OCMC serves both emergency and non-emergency patients. -
We see about 19,000 visits a year.
-
We make sure patients get the treatment they need by having the most affordable pricing. If someone is unable to cover the costs at the time of treatment, we work with them and even partially cover costs if needed.
-
Donations make all the difference. Without support from people like you, we wouldn’t be able to continue. We are affiliated with a nonprofit called ***************
If you choose to donate, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
